About AnythingText
A small team building tools we'd actually use ourselves.
AnythingText is a growing collection of browser-based productivity tools: PDF utilities, text converters, SEO tools, K-12 study aids, developer utilities, and AI-powered assistants. Most of them run entirely in your browser. The rest are powered by well-understood APIs with no data retention on our side.

I started AnythingText because I kept needing quick, reliable utilities online and the existing sites were either paywalled, covered in ads, or uploaded my files to mystery servers. I wanted something that stayed out of the way and did the job.
If you find a tool that doesn't work, a tool you wish existed, or a policy you think is unfair — I read every email.
What we do
Process locally when possible
Most PDF, image, and text tools run 100% in your browser. Your files never leave your device. Tools marked with are local-only.
Be clear when we can't
AI-powered tools need our servers to reach OpenAI, ElevenLabs, or Serper. Tools marked with process your input on our side. We don't retain files beyond the response.
No subscriptions, ever
Paid plans are one-time purchases for a chosen duration. Credits never expire. There's nothing to cancel because nothing auto-renews.
Support with a real human
No chatbots, no ticket queue maze. Emails go directly to the founder and get a reply within 24 hours.
What we don't do
Honesty matters more than polish. Here's what we deliberately don't do — even when competitors do:
- We don't sell your data. No analytics resale, no advertising partnerships, no data broker relationships.
- We don't claim our tool beats every competitor. If a tool is deprecated (Google's sitemap ping, FeedShark, etc.) we say so instead of faking success.
- We don't use dark patterns. No fake urgency, no "limited spots left", no free-trial-then-surprise-charge.
- We don't auto-post to forums on your behalf. The AI Reply Drafter generates drafts; you read, edit, and post yourself. Auto-posting is spam and gets accounts banned.
- We don't hide limitations. Each AI tool discloses the model it uses. Tools with known quirks mention them upfront.
Who this isn't for
We'd rather you find a better fit elsewhere than pay for something that won't work for you. AnythingText is probably not right if you need any of these:
- Enterprise SLAs or SOC 2 / HIPAA compliance. We don't offer signed BAAs or 99.99% uptime contracts. If your company requires them, use a vendor built for that.
- Phone support or a dedicated account manager. Support is email-only, via a single founder. Fast, but not 24/7 phone.
- Bulk batch processing at scale. Our paid credits are for interactive use. If you need to process millions of files programmatically, you'll hit rate limits — talk to us first.
- Regulated or classified documents. AI tools send your content to OpenAI/ElevenLabs. If you can't share data with those providers under their terms, don't use our AI tools (the browser-only 🔒 tools are still safe).
- A white-label or reseller relationship. Not currently supported. Email us if that's interesting to you — we might consider it later.
